Fanatics Betting and Gaming has launched its sportsbook in West Virginia. Currently available in Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Tennessee and Massachusetts, the Mountain State will be the sixth state to host the online platform.

Fanatics Betting and Gaming launched back in 2021 as a sports betting subsidiary of Fanatics Holdings – a sports merchandise company turned sportsbook. The Fanatics Sportsbook is available both online and in retail locations, being the only retail sportsbook inside an NFL stadium.

The development and distribution of the Fanatics Sportsbook began back in August, with Fanatics Betting and Gaming able to do so via its acquisition of PointsBet’s US business. From here, the company was able to launch in several states

Due to the PointsBet acquisition, customers who previously used the platform can automatically migrate their username, slot way casino password, account balance and responsible gaming settings over to the Fanatics Sportsbook.

The Fanatics Sportsbook in West Virginia will offer an online casino including roulette, slots and blackjack, as well as typical sports betting. There will also be an opportunity for live streaming and betting through BetVision in collaboration with Genius Sports Limited, which will be available on select professional football games.

The in-app currency, FanCash, is used to run the platform's loyalty program. It can be converted dollar-for-dollar into Bonus Bets on the app or can be used to make purchases on the Fanatics website.

On the growth of the sportsbook in the US, CEO of Fanatics Betting and Gaming Matt King said: "We have a 10-year plan that focuses on the customer and not market share. We are going to acquire customers efficiently... allowing us to return savings to customers by investing in the customer experience."
